Announcing: Use Approver to Collaborate on Blogs

Today we formally announced the launch of blog integration on Approver.com. This gives you the ability to post to a Typepad or WordPress blog directly from within Approver.com. You can now compose your blog post in Approver, invite colleagues to review it before it goes live, and easily publish the post directly to your blog after it’s been approved.

This is a significant new feature for Approver.com. As part of this launch we are announcing a new partnership with our pals over at Six Apart, providers of the Typepad blogging system. We’ve used Typepad almost since it was released, for both personal and corporate blogs, and we can vouch for its tremendousness.

When we originally conceived of Approver, the idea was to provide a very simple solution to a common problem related to the way that people circulate documents for approval. Since we launched in September, our users have asked us to extend that basic workflow functionality to publishing as well. Blog publishing seemed like a good first step, but there is more to come.

Document sharing for architects and designers

We received a user request to support upload of Archicad and Autocad files, so we’ve enabled this on the upload page.

Adding support for new kinds of files is pretty easy for us to do, so if Approver.com doesn’t support a document format that you use, let us know.

Updated password recovery page

Just pushed a new version of the password recovery page that fixes an error that affected a few users who were either not registered or who were registered under a different email address than the one they requested on the password recovery page.
